There were no takers for the second local ride on Thursday, so for this week we increased the rider limit to 18 for the Tuesday local ride and cancelled the Thursday local ride. Ten of the group were off on the Danube Tour very, very early on Thursday morning.
The weather forecasts on Sunday did not look promising for our usual Tuesday and Thursday ride days, so they were changed to Monday and Wednesday – though the forecast rain did not turn up on Tuesday!
Tuesday Easier Pace group - Park & Ride Car Park Leisure Park to Planet Ice Basingstoke Leisure Park.

We met up at the Wilton P&R car park – loads of spaces, free parking and good toilets
Tuesday Rides
Easier Paced Group

With 12 riders, we split into two manageable groups led by Mark and myself. We headed out to Fleet, joining the faster-paced group at Wetherspoons. Not quite ready to finish the coffee tour, my group opted for a second stop at The Folly in Odiham before heading for home.
Both rides on Tuesday started from Eastrop Park. The faster followed the anti-clockwise route. Alistair and Mick led Mark, John M, Peter B, Vanessa, Robert and David B. The 27 mile route took them up to Newnham, through Hook and then off via Mattingley to cross the A33 to Stratfield Saye, where we met the other group coming the other way. Three Ashes and then Bramley for refreshments at the Bakery. It was then Cufaude Lane and home.
Tuesday:
There were 13 for Tuesday’s easy ride starting from Eastrop Park. We split into two groups at the junction of Crown Lane and Byfleet Avenue where John R led Helena, Paul, Ray, David E and Greta. My group was Sue C, John H, Graham R, and Clive, and we were joined by Lin and Len at Polecat Corner. We all welcomed Greta back from her long absence and the two groups set off never far apart catching up en route at water stops.
